Police clock speeding cars on Green Leach Lane, St Helens

POLICE say they clocked 10 speeding drivers on a busy road within 40 minutes.

Police Community Support Officers conducted checks on Tuesday afternoon, August 1, at Green Leach Lane, Haresfinch.

In a period of 40 minutes, 10 vehicles were found to be speeding, with one found to be going at 55mph.

Police in St Helens said: "PCSO James conducted speed checks this afternoon on Green Leach Lane.

"Ten vehicles were caught speeding in the space of 40 minutes.

"The highest was a sickening 55mph. My we remind drivers that this road is 30mph for a reason. KILL YOUR SPEED! NOT ANOTHER CHILD!"
