2 for 1 Tix Plus All the Entertainment at the CBD Craft Beer Fest

You've heard about the beer, drinks, and food to be had at the CBD Craft Beer Fest this weekend (Aug 25-27). Now it's time to delve into the entertainment to enjoy while you sip and munch!

Before said entertainment rundown, though, we have some super exciting news! In celebration of 7-7, tickets for the CBD Craft Beer Festival are two for one for today (Aug 22) only! The offer ends at midnight tonight so scan the QR code below to get yours now!

Now on to... all the DJs, dance sessions, beer-related competitions and more to make one jampacked weekend!

As the saying goes, it’s better out than in and that’s certainly the case for our Beer Burping Contest. The rules are simple: participants will try to produce the loudest, longest, or most musical burps after drinking a beer. Successful competitors will then make it into the next round until one winner is declared!

Our Beer Belly Contest is for anyone with a beer belly and proud! Participants will show off their beer bellies and dance moves, competing for the biggest, roundest, or most attractive moves.

Getting the Craft Beer Fest started will be DJ Crow who started DJing hip-hop music in 2015 and since then has performed on stage with many of the world’s top 100 DJs and renowned rappers. He plays a mix of hip-hop, R&B, rage, drill and Jersey club.

Our second DJ of the Craft Beer Fest will be DJ Hotcue, a beat-maker, producer and international DJ. He’s been interested in music since his childhood when he was fond of collecting records and spreading music culture. With over six years of experience behind the decks, DJ Hotcue has established himself as a true master of the craft and always brings sets packed with energy and creativity that feature a mix of classic and contemporary hip-hop tracks that will always get the crowd moving.

Bringing the first day of the fest to a close will be DJ Lucas who was inspired to become an electronic music producer and DJ by KSHMR. He combines far east elements with modern electronics and his musical styles encompass tech, house, EDM, trap, carnival, dubstep and big room. He has a wealth of music literacy and can interpret the vibe of any dance floor.

Kicking things off on both Saturday and Sunday we have Dean the DJ, a Sound Engineer by day and DJ at night he’ll be playing a variety of music from Afro, Pop, RnB, HipHop, Latin and EDM.

Finishing off day two (Sat, Aug 26) will be veteran DJ Dairon Cardona, aka DJ Arquitect. One of Beijing’s most popular Latin music DJs, Latin music may be his main style, but he also loves Afro, Caribbean and house music. His high-energy performances, great charisma and ability to merge different music styles will be sure to get you up and dancing.

Bringing a close to the Fest with a musical bang (or perhaps a chill beat) we have DJ Ennoe Alpha who joined the entertainment scene in 2018. He taught himself how to blend in mixed tracks from listening to superstar DJs and car radio stations in numerous DJ mixes, and has dominated the popular Afrobeat hip-hop and reggae environment ever since. He blends a mix of tracks from genres such as reggae, reggae dub step, Afrobeat, deep house and funky house.

Guaranteed to get you on your feet and swinging your hips is EMASALSA. Led by Teacher Ema, an ambassador of Latin American cultural communication, she has been promoting Latin American culture and music through dance for 19 years. She has worked with many Latin American embassies here in China and has taught thousands of students over the years.

Brought to you by Roots Café & Culture we have the Afro Dance Session! Almost everyone has a favorite Afrobeats song right now and their dance guru Tanaka is here to teach you how to dance to it! His fluid movements are as though he manifests music into physical form and he’ll be showing off some easy to learn techniques that will be a great addition to your dancing skills!

Dance studio Phoenix Dance will be leading a Mambo Jam Session. Founded by Jack aka “Mambo” Jack from the USA, and Zhenzhen from Beijing, Phoneix Dance has been bringing the joy of Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Brazilian Zouk to Beijing for the past 19 years. Holding daily classes and weekly parties at various venues around Beijing, their moves are sure to get the whole crowd up and dancing.

Some of the vendors at the festival will also be doing special activities with prizes up for grabs so let’s take a look at those!

Try out your coordination and balancing skills with Berlin Bites’ fun puppet game where you have to use your skills to try and drink a beer using marionette strings.

At PandBrew’s stall, they’ll be doing a ring toss game with PandBrew merch up for grabs for winners.

Tough Tongue will be doing a classic drinking competition where you can buy a glass of their participating beer and if you finish it within eight seconds you’ll get one free additional can or glass of beer, finish within six seconds and you’ll get two free cans or glasses of beer.

Another classic drinking challenge comes from #WAWABEER, simply finish a glass of beer within six seconds and you’ll get a snack and two liters of any beer (value RMB 100) for free, if you fail the challenge then you just need to pay RMB 30 for the glass of beer.

From Brooklyn Brewery we have a classic raffle game with Gashapon machines, and you’re 100 percent guaranteed a prize! There are three prizes available:

We’ve got another drinking competition for you from TSINGTAO1903 Taproom. To take part you’ll need to purchase a 500ml glass of beer, if you finish it within eight seconds you get another glass of the same beer for free, finish it in six seconds and you get two glasses of the same beer for free. There is a twist though! You’ve got to keep your hands off the timer and don’t spill any beer.

Boltcraft is all about designs that’ll make you look twice, and they’re allowing anyone who comes to their booth to design their own beer label using AI! All designs will appear on personalized cans at the end of September.

Drink 400ml of beer in eight seconds and you’ll receive one FREE bottle of LIONK beer. If you lose, though, you’ll have to pay for the beer you drank…

Purchase any draft beer at the Wild Kite booth and if you can drink a 330ml beer within 5 seconds, you’ll get another for FREE. Activity is limited to 3-3.30pm and 8-8.30pm every day of the event.

ANYTOP is bringing out a blind box to the Fest. There are 50, 40, 20 and 10 percent discounts available. Plus, if you win, you’ll get your next drink FREE.

HUZI will have a variety of activities on-site, including lucky spinning wheels and a whole lot more with limited edition gifts in store. It all depends on whether or not you’re lucky enough to win!

Have confidence in your taste memory? Put it to the test with a blind tasting of six of Everest’s beers. If you guess all of them, you’ll receive a prize! Plus, when you buy a 500ml cup of beer, you’ll get stickers to decorate your cup with. The most outstanding pieces of art will be displayed on their official account.

Along with all of the above entertainment, there will be a variety of other games available to play at the fest like electronic dartboards, courtesy of DARTSLIVE, or Gashapon machines.
